2002 HARRY HOUDINI ~ MAGICIAN #3651 Plate Block of 4 x 37 cents US Postage Stamps - On July 3, 2002 in New York, NY the USPS honored Harry Houdini, a Jewish-Hungarian-American magician and escapologist, stunt performer, actor and film producer, as well as a skeptic and investigator of spiritualists. Houdini was a world-renowned escape artist, often offering rewards to anyone who could successfully restrain him. Once, he was even locked in a U.S. mail pouch. He always escaped. The Houdini stamp, when viewed through a special decoder lens, shows Houdini wrapped in chains.
