Full Sheet of 11 Jim Henson and the Muppets 37-cent Stamps #3944 - This is a full sheet of eleven unused, never-hinged, 37-cent self-adhesive US postage stamps in mint condition (sealed in plastic wrap with a sheet of cardboard - unopened USPS package). Ten of the stamps feature the beloved Sesame Street characters: Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Sam the Eagle, Miss Piggy, Statler and Waldorf, the Swedish Chef, Animal, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker the Scientist, Rowlf the Dog, and the Great Gonzo and Camilla the Chicken. If used on a white envelope, the Muppets appear to burst through the envelope! The eleventh stamp is a photo portrait of the late Jim Henson, creator of the Muppets, taken by Norman Seeff in New York City. The background of this sheet also features a silhouette of Henson and the quote: "When I was a young man, my ambition was to be one of the people who made a difference in this world. My hope is to leave the world a little better for my having been here." The reverse side has autographed messages from the Muppets encouraging kids to take up letter-writing and use these stamps.
